Partners - HPA

Hungarian Plastics Association (HPA) is a non-profit civil organisation for representation and advocacy of the Hungarian plastic industry.

HPA was established in 1991 for representing the professional interests of the Hungarian plastics industry. In the past it was a part of Hungarian Chemical Association but now is an independent organization. Membership of HPA consists of plastic manufacturer and converter firms producing in Hungary, but also firms trading with plastics. HPA is co-partner of PlasticsEurope and also take part in the work of CIPAD (Council of International Plastics Association Directors), worldwide organization of plastics associations. HPA has good relation to plastics profession organizations in Europe wide.

OUR MISSION:

  • Supporting the development of plastics sector among the high level of competition of structural material.
  • We confidence that the products made from plastics are the basis of sustainability development of humankind.
  • This statement has already many times confirmed by technical, economic and environmental life-cycle assessments.
  • Development of plastics industry even not only in Hungary but worldwide, increasing more rapidly than the average of GDP.

OUR GOALS:

  • Support of interest of Hungarian plastics industry in the process of legislation, on the government level and other authorities.
  • Increasing of image of plastics with introduction of its objective advantage.
  • Supporting of interaction between the plastics industry and the end users.

THE MAIN ELEMENTS OF OUR ACTIVITY:

  • Opinion of proposal and draft of laws related to the plastics industry.
  • Collection of information and data of the plastics industry and publishing it among the members.
  • Co-operation between local and international organisations.
  • Building and keeping of connections with the R&D institutes.
  • Supporting of education of plastics field on each level.
  • PR activity, connection to the medias and other civil organisations.
  • Exploitation and dissemination of information received from different EU funded R&D projects.
